Educational Resources on GlobalGeek.ca
General Terms
GlobalGeek.ca makes available educational resources, as products, to assist educators in preparing lessons. When purchasing or receiving a free access to resources, GlobalGeek will generally make the resource and associated downloads available to the purchaser indefinitely. However, there is no ongoing guarantee of indefinite access. It is strongly recommended by GlobalGeek that users promptly download and save onto their own equipment any content purchased. GlobalGeek shall have no liability for, or duty to replace, lost, damaged, or destroyed downloads.
The product made available by GlobalGeek is its proprietary educational resources, and knowledge of external resources, together these form the product.
Licensing
GlobalGeek.ca offers two license types for educational resources:
Site License
A Site License is intended for use by a single school. This license is perpetual and may be reassigned to teachers within the school as staffing changes occur, with a maximum of four authorized users at any one time. The license remains with the institution and may be transferred between eligible staff members, but may not be shared with other schools or organizations.
If a school holding a Site License closes, merges with another institution, or splits into separate institutions, the Site License expires immediately and is not transferable.
Individual License
An Individual License is granted to a single named educator and remains valid in perpetuity. This license is personal and non-transferable.
General Licensing
Authorized users of educational resources (paid or free) provided via GlobalGeek.ca are licensed to use the information and resources for teaching purposes only. Users are not authorized to redistribute the material for use by any subsequent individuals or organizations outside the scope of their license.
Material from GlobalGeek.ca may not be copied, reproduced, republished, downloaded, posted, broadcast, or transmitted in any way, except for the licensees own use as a teacher or school and that of pupils within classes, for the period your license is valid. Any other use requires the prior written permission of GlobalGeek.
You agree not to adapt or alter any of the material contained in this site or use it for any purpose other than for your personal, non-commercial use. The site and its contents should not be used for any promotional, administrative, or commercial purposes of the educational establishment.
License Holder Obligations
By purchasing or using a license, you agree to:
- comply with all terms and conditions of your license;
- maintain accurate records of authorized users (for Site Licenses);
- cooperate with any compliance audit requested by GlobalGeek; and
- provide reasonable information to verify compliance upon request.
Compliance
Failure to comply with these obligations, or evidence of license misuse, may result in immediate license termination without refund. GlobalGeek reserves all rights and remedies available under applicable law.
Refunds
Purchases may be refunded provided the request is made within 7 days of purchase and the purchased resource has not yet been accessed. Once the resource is accessed or 7 days have passed since purchase, the product is considered delivered and no refund will be issued.
These Terms and Conditions
If any of these Terms and Conditions should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of any state or country in which these Terms and Conditions are intended to be effective, then to the extent and within the jurisdiction which that Term or Condition is illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining terms and conditions shall survive, remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.
If these Terms and Conditions are not accepted in full, you do not have permission to access the contents of this website and therefore should cease using this website immediately.
