David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet

An issue that I am extremely passionate about as an educator is how we can be more sustainble to ensure the longeviety of our planet. I also absolutely love David Attenborough and have probably watched every documentary that he has every narrated… Planet Earth, Frozen World, Greatest Migrations…

I was super excited to hear that his latest documentary was going to be aired on Netflix and literally counted down the days until it’s release (04th October 2020). Needeless to say I have already created a worksheet to accompany the film for my Social Studies classes!

This film is such a powerful reminder of the impact, both positive and negative, that the human race have had, and continue to have, on our planet. Our natural world is paramount to our survival and yet we are destroying it. As an educator, I am extremely passionate about educating our young people on the issues that are going to affect them in the future. Film can be a catalyst for change and by sharing and enaging with this medium we can have the power to make a difference.
